Design Proposal - '67 Corvette

Display Image

by John Schinella

In 1963, even before production commenced on the new Corvette Sting Ray, Bill Mitchell gathered a group of his designers and tasked them with dreaming up the Sting Rays replacement. In 1964 John Schinella was one of the designers working in Chevy Studio #2. This design proposal includes an extremely elongated hood and a very low cockpit and roof line, giving the vehicle a stiletto look. Of particular interest in this drawing are the people, an elegantly dressed woman and a man with racing helmet in hand
